The YPAC Edmonton Chapter is excited to host Amii (Alberta Machine Learning Institute) for a Webinar focusing on the various potential applications for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in Canada’s oil, natural gas and pipeline sectors.

This is a great opportunity to connect and network with young professionals in the industry while practicing safe social distancing. We look forward to seeing you there!

About our Speaker:

  • Hossein Shahandeh, PhD.
  • Hossein Shahandeh is a Machine Learning Advisor at the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii). He received his PhD in Chemical Engineering (Process Control major) from the University of Alberta in 2018 and, went on to receive the “Alberta Innovates Technology Future” Scholarship, the “Faculty of Engineering Teaching Excellence” Award, and the “Three–Minute Elevator Pitch Competition” Award. Since graduating, Hossein has worked with a variety of Oil and Gas clients to provide consulting services ranging from solutions design, implementation, training, and advisement. When he is not researching the most efficient solutions for his customers, he spends time with his friends, working out, volunteering, and improving his snowboarding skills.
