OFI International 2024 will bring together stakeholders from across the oils and fats supply chain under one roof with parallel conferences on trade & transport, and processing & refining, along with an exhibition of suppliers to industry.
Industry leaders will present their views on key feedstocks such as palm, soyabean, rapeseed and sunflower oils; and food and fuel trends in the biodiesel, HVO/SAF, oleochemicals, algae, insect and CBD sectors. Sustainability issues including the EU Deforestation Regulation, the European Green Deal and Greenhouse Gas Protocol Scope 1-3 emissions will also be addressed.
And in a first for the oils and fats industry, OFI International 2024 will bring together experts to talk about the key role of shipping and logistics in oils and fats trade, including Ukraine’s Black Sea and export routes; the effect of climate change on key waterways such as the Panama Canal and the Mississippi river; dealing with contamination in the supply chain; current vessel availability; vegetable oil and oilseed freight rates; piracy; and logistical issues such as storage, inspection and insurance.
The Port of Rotterdam is one of the world’s key trading ports housing six vegetable oil refining complexes, five biodiesel plants and four oils and fats storage terminals. As part of OFI International 2024, site visits will be organised to some of the major companies located in the port, giving visitors first-hand experience of their operations.
Taking place on the 9-11 September 2024 in the Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Centre, OFI International 2024 will offer solutions in processing, trade & logistics.
